EDUCATION

Master's Degree in Counseling Psychotherapy: University of New Hampshire 1996. Emphasis on symbolic and metaphorical Jungian approach. Independent studies in Art Therapy.

Apprenticeship: Ongoing with accomplished watercolorist Lyn Snow (So. Thomaston, Maine).

 

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION

Winner:  2000 Professional Picture Framers of America Annual National Competition. "Horizon", a limited edition print was used as the feature art in the winning ensemble. 

Winner: 1997 EquitanaUSA International Art Competition sponsored by The Equine Image art magazine and EquitanaUSA, the "World's Fair of Equestrian Sports".  Artwork graced fine art poster and show program, also featured in The Equine Image magazine.

Winner: 1997 International Andalusian/Lusitano Horse Association National Art Contest. "Grey Horse" watercolor graced show catalogue and national publication by the IALHA.

Winner: 1994 Waterville Art's Festival Atkin's Print Prize. Original watercolor "The Toad Within" made into limited edition print to become the promotional piece for following year's show.

 

MUSEUMS

Kentucky Derby Museum: 1997 Juried Horses in Motion II show. Original watercolor "A Different Drum" featured in Kentucky Derby Museum' s main exhibit.

Portland Museum of Art: 1998 Anual Juried Charity Exhibit and Auction.
